HIPAA and Other Health Benefits Laws:Compliance Assistance Seminar

Sessions will cover the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other federal laws under Part 7 of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act. Information also will be presented on fiduciary responsibility, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA), the Family and Medical Leave Act, health savings accounts, HIPAA privacy and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act.

Panelists will include representatives of EBSA, the Labor Department’s Employment Standards Administration and Veterans Employment and Training Service, the Texas Department of Insurance, the Internal Revenue Service, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
