FDALive.com to Broadcast the June 13th FDA Hearing on Zimulti

The June 13th Endocrinologic and Metabolic Drugs Advisory Committee Meeting is being held to discuss the efficacy and safety of new drug application (NDA) 21-888, proposed under the trade name Zimulti (Rimonabant) in 20 milligrams tablets from Sanofi-Aventis. This medication is being evaluated as an adjunct to diet and exercise for obesity management in patients with a body-mass index equal to or greater than 30 kilograms (kg) per square meter, or a body-mass index equal to or greater than 27 kg per square meter and accompanied by at least one cardiovascular risk factor. The Committee will continue discussions based upon updated information made available concerning the drug's effectiveness, dosage and continued safety.
