atsec Receives Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) Status From PCI SSC
(March 07, 2007)--atsec information security is proud to announce the addition of Payment Card Industry Qualified Security Assessment (PCI QSA) services to its IT security services portfolio.As an accredited QSA company, atsec can now perform formal assessments under the PCI scheme in the U.S. and China.
The QSA company accreditation program is administered by the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC), whose mission is to enhance payment account data security by fostering broad adoption of the PCI Security Standards. The organization was founded by American Express, Discover Financial Services, JCB, MasterCard Worldwide, and Visa International.
In December 2006, Visa reported PCI compliance at 36 percent among Level 1 merchants and 15 percent among Level 2 merchants, with the majority of merchants at both levels actively working toward compliance.
atsec added this service to support our clients in the financial services industry. atsec offers application evaluation, cryptographic module and algorithm testing, auditing and penetration testing to this market.
Other IT security services offered by atsec include Common Criteria evaluation, ISO 27001 consulting, FIPS 140-2 testing, HIPAA compliance support, and penetration testing.
