Vontu Helps CIGNA Demonstrate HIPAA and PCI Compliance

(June 12, 2007)-- Vontu, specialist in Data Loss Prevention solutions, announced that CIGNA HealthCare, one of the nation's largest health services companies, has selected Vontu 7 to help reduce the risk of data loss and support compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations and PCI Data Security Standards.

CIGNA plans to use Vontu to discover and protect confidential data, monitor and prevent such data from leaving the network and automatically enforce data loss prevention policies. In addition to content-aware detection capabilities, Vontu 7 also offers remediation workflow, role-based access control and incident correlation reports.

CIGNA selected the Vontu 7 Data Loss Prevention suite to help secure member health information in accordance with HIPAA as well as meet PCI DSS requirements regarding credit cardholder and Primary Account Number (PAN) data. Vontu 7 products, Vontu Discover and Vontu Protect, will enable CIGNA to detect and protect exposed confidential data at rest, including data on laptops, desktops and servers. Vontu data-in-motion products, Vontu Network Monitor and Vontu Network Prevent, allow the organization to stop data loss via email, Web mail, secure Web mail, FTP and other Internet protocols.
