SecureInfo RMS 4.5 Provides Unprecedented Visibility into Critical FISMA Component

(July 03, 2007)-- SecureInfo Corporation, a market-proven provider of Information Assurance solutions for the Federal government, today announced the immediate availability of SecureInfo RMS 4.5. SecureInfo RMS is a comprehensive risk management system that simplifies and automates the certification and accreditation (C&A) process, a critical element of FISMA compliance.

The latest release of SecureInfo’s award-winning C&A solution provides an unprecedented level of visibility into the C&A process. With RMS 4.5, organizations can now collaborate on C&A packages, and manage and measure C&A performance more effectively.

Larry Orluskie, a DHS spokesman, stated in a Federal Computer Week article published on May 1, 2007 that, “we [DHS] have enhanced the percentage of IT systems that are fully accredited from 22 percent in 2005, to 95 percent in 2006.” Additionally, the 2006 FISMA Report to congress specifically calls attention to DHS’ C&A progress. “Certifying and accrediting systems….Several agencies made significant progress in fiscal year 2006, most notably the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)…improved rates of certifications and accreditations.”
