Strohl Systems Helps Financial Institutions Prepare for Pandemic Disruptions

(Sept 05, 2007)-- Strohl Systems, provider of business continuity software and services, announced a new Webinar titled "Pandemic Planning for Financial Institutions." This complimentary Webinar will be held on Sept. 12 and will address how financial institutions can best prepare for a pandemic outbreak. Additionally, Strohl announced the release of a new pandemic planning module, which will be available by the end of September, for its PLANet software tool.

Possible pandemic outbreaks are at the forefront of continuity planners' minds as this type of disruption requires specialized strategies be put into place to build a successful response plan. The Webinar will address how financial institutions can best prepare for a pandemic outbreak by explaining the threat and why it's different than other disruptions, discussing how to set strategies to appropriately address a pandemic outbreak and discovering key items that should be included in business continuity plans to ensure the ability to manage through a long-term disruption.

The Pandemic Planning module, which will be included in Strohl's PLANet product, includes specific tactics that aid in building continuity plans that ensure minimal interruption of service and revenue. The Pandemic Readiness and Event Response instructions include detailed procedures for building a successful pandemic recovery plan, allowing organizations to ready themselves before a pandemic occurs as well as appropriately addressing an outbreak while it's happening.

PLANet, a comprehensive Web-based business continuity planning tool built specifically for community financial institutions, has over 1,100 clients currently using the system.
