FFIEC News
Bankwide.com Scheduled for Launch in January 2008
(Nov 26, 2007)-- Bankwide is a news aggregation service that gathers information about the banking industry and posts headlines directly to its news section. Bankwide also offers articles written by consultants throughout the finance industry.
Bankwide breaks its news down into major and minor categories including news by department, such as compliance, management, technology and security. There is a section for news by regulatory agency including the FDIC and OCC. A section related to news by regulation features sub-topics such as GLBA, SOX, FFIEC and more. Follow that up with regional banking news and users can find the headlines they are looking for quickly and efficiently.
Another feature of Bankwide is the Alerts section which produces multiple RSS feeds covering counterfeit check alerts, bank robbery alerts, phishing scams, FBI / IC3 alerts and cyber security alerts. These feeds provide bank managers with instantaneous alerting of threats to their bank’s information security program.
A banking calendar of events is also available allowing bankers, vendors and organizations the ability to post banking related events. Another feature is the Bankwide forum where banking management can discuss the current landscape of banking. Banking documents are available to download including regulatory documents, banking forms and more.
Their Bankroll section allows readers to sample the work from banking blogs across the internet. The research section provides whitepapers covering topics such as banking technology and compliance guidelines. Bank de novos and top banks and credit unions are also featured in the research section.
