E*TRADE FINANCIAL Chooses Xceedium GateKeeper to Enhance its Security Policy

(Feb 12, 2008)-- Xceedium, provider of solutions that enforce security policy and validate compliance for technical users, announced that E*TRADE FINANCIAL Corp. has chosen the Xceedium GateKeeper to enhance and automate its security policy for technical users -- while implementing and validating controls that meet compliance mandates. GateKeeper is expected to play a fundamental role in automating the controls E*TRADE has in place to protect and compartmentalize its infrastructure.

The Xceedium GateKeeper provides the ability to contain technical users to authorized areas while enhancing operational efficiency. Xceedium's patent-pending LeapFrog Prevention technology works at the socket layer to contain these users to authorized areas while working with powerful access tools (including command line). Additionally, E*TRADE will use the Xceedium LeapFrog Prevention technology for its Citrix Presentation Server (PS-XenApp) to augment the high levels of security controls in Citrix PS, preventing technical users from gaining unauthorized access to systems and becoming threats to the critical infrastructure.

The Xceedium GateKeeper cost-effectively enables monitoring of all user activity, provides real-time alerts for violations, and delivers the ability to produce audit reports in accordance with such compliance regulations as PCI, FISMA, GLBA, SOX, HIPAA and BASEL II.
