Carnival Cruise Lines Increases Efficiency and Reduces Risk Using Tripwire's PCI Compliance Software Solution

Carnival Cruise Lines announced its selection of Tripwire, pioneer in configuration assessment and auditing solutions, to leverage Tripwire Enterprise as part of the company's continuing efforts in achieving and maintaining a known, trusted and compliant state -- ensuring Carnival's IT systems continue to be secure, consistently available and compliant with regulatory standards. Tripwire Enterprise will help Carnival to streamline its already comprehensive auditing processes as part of the company's ongoing commitment to ensure its guests' credit card data remains secure.

Tripwire's technology automatically detects unauthorized, non-compliant change to enterprise-wide systems and virtual environments and, in the event an unexpected change is encountered, immediately alerts Carnival's IT staff so that exceptions to its change and release management policies can be immediately updated and investigated. This approach enables Carnival to better manage risk by providing continuous, automated compliance across its entire IT environment.

Tripwire also assists Carnival in complying with multiple regulatory standards -- such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). Previously, Carnival had leveraged Tripwire for Servers, and by upgrading to the enhanced Tripwire Enterprise, ensures Carnival will continue to meet PCI requirements on schedule, while providing a continuous known and trusted state across the data center.
