AdventNet and Solidcore Partner to Deliver Enhanced Change and Configuration Management Solution

(July 09, 2008)-- AdventNet, provider of affordable Enterprise IT Management and IT security software, announced the signing of an exclusive agreement with Solidcore Systems, the leading provider of software to detect and prevent unwanted change. This partnership, which has been in place for more than 12 months and has proven to be successful for both companies, enables full integration of AdventNet ManageEngine DeviceExpert network change and configuration management (NCCM) software into Solidcore's S3 Control software.

ManageEngine DeviceExpert is a web-based, multi-vendor network configuration, change and compliance management (NCCCM) solution for network devices like switches, routers, firewalls and others. A trusted solution used by thousands of network administrators around the world, DeviceExpert helps take total control of the entire life cycle of device configuration management.

The Solidcore S3 Control software greatly reduces the cost and effort needed to improve IT service availability and regulatory compliance. Solidcore captures "who" is making changes, "what" is actually being changed, "when" change is occurring, "how" the change was implemented, and "why" the change was made. This enables organizations to ensure deployed systems are always in a known and verified state. Solidcore can highlight differences in changes deployed in staging and production environments, and create an exception report that lists any extra and missing changes. Solidcore S3 Control can also summarize all change events in reports to demonstrate compliance to auditors with minimal effort, reducing the cost of Payment Card Industry (PCI) or Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance verification.

With this partnership, Solidcore is able to integrate DeviceExpert's network configuration management technology to extend its change management capabilities to network devices such as switches, firewalls and routers -- irrespective of vendor. This helps enable Solidcore to deliver a comprehensive solution with end-to-end automated change management to their customers. The recent release of Solidcore's S3 Control software has integrated many key network compliance features of DeviceExpert such as compliance benchmarking of network device configurations, and a provision to create and associate custom compliance policies to devices, thereby automating compliance checks.
