Ecora Software Offers Small and Medium Sized Businesses Affordable, Automated Solutions to Meet 2007 SOX Deadline

(March 20, 2007)--Ecora Software, a provider of change and compliance reporting solutions to ensure IT infrastructures are secure, compliant and effective, said that version 4.1 of Auditor Basic and Auditor Professional is now available for purchase online to those small and medium-sized business that must meet the SEC’s 2007 Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) deadline, yet may only require licensing for just a few servers.

“While our large Fortune 1000 customers utilize Ecora’s solutions to help transform enterprise-wide configuration data into reports that help identify security holes and satisfy compliance auditors, these everyday IT headaches for smaller businesses are just the same,” said James Sayles, Chief Compliance and Security Advisor at Ecora. “Ecora’s new affordably-sized offerings provide smaller IT shops the same power and visibility to discover, collect, audit and report on only the systems they’re worried about, while also helping them to meet the smaller-company SOX deadline later this year.”

The SEC has said that companies with a market value of less than $75 million now must prove their internal financial controls are reliable and accurate for fiscal years ending on December 15, 2007, or later.

In addition to its large enterprise scalability, Ecora is now offering both Auditor Basic and Auditor Professional for purchase over the Web for businesses requiring anywhere from 1 to 99 server licenses. The Auditor Basic edition is a scaled down IT Configuration Reporting Tool for IT Compliance and Audits, Security Audits, IT Controls Testing, ITIL, and other IT configuration reporting needs. For larger requirements and functionality, Auditor Professional enables centralized management, auditing, reporting and change identification of configurations in virtually all operating systems, database management systems, applications and network devices. With thousands of out-of-the-box report packs used by more than 3,600 organizations since 1999, Auditor Pro collects tens of thousands of asset, security and configuration settings into a database for reporting, auditing, baselining and change tracking.

Both solutions will allow smaller companies to:

* Save time on IT audits and compliance, monitor and identify over a million possible system changes and identify the internal security misconfigurations vulnerability scanners can't see
* Accelerate ITIL adoption
* Improve the organization's change management process
* Use the data collected to federate your favorite CMDB
* Collect more data from more operating systems, databases, applications and network devices than any other configuration reporting software
* Get started with hundreds of ready-made report templates to quickly generate audit reports for SOX, PCI, GLBA, FISMA/FISCAM, HIPAA, etc.
