STG to Provide IT Security Solutions Department of State BPA
(July 30, 2007)-- STG announced that it has won a position on a blanket purchase agreement (BPA) with the Department of State (DoS) for Security Assurance Services and Innovation (SASI) to provide security solutions that address current and future security issues and requirements. The master ceiling of the BPA is valued at $710 million in the aggregate for one base year plus four option years for the eight awarded BPAs.
STG has assembled a team of 21 industry leading suppliers of services, software and hardware to offer DoS a clear choice for continuous future improvements. STG will leverage its 20 years of DoS experience and ISO 9001:2000-certified and SEI CMMI Maturity Level 3-rated processes to support FISMA requirements and to anticipate and respond to challenges.
“Team STG is composed of very talented companies — both large and small — that have outstanding qualifications in all functional areas of the contract,” said John Barrass, STG Chief Operating Officer. “We created our core team with providers of current, proven security tools, processes and services, and augmented the team with those that are on the leading edge of innovation. We also added firms who have a proven record of security assurance and FISMA compliance success.”
“Because we have served the Department for 20 uninterrupted years, we understand the Department’s challenges and issues, and we have the knowledge and experience necessary to perform on this contract,” said Simon Lee, STG President and CEO. “We are excited at the opportunity to continue our support to our premiere customer, the U.S. Department of State.”
