Secure Elements Announces Trial Program for C5 Compliance Platform

(Aug 13, 2007)-- Secure Elements, pioneer in standards-based IT audit and compliance management, announced a trial program of their C5 compliance platform aimed at agencies preparing to comply with the U.S. Office of Management and Budget’s mandate by testing and deploying the Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC) for Microsoft Windows XP or Vista.

Timed with the open availability of the VHDs (virtual hard disks) of the operating system images, the associated Group Policy Objects (GPOs), and Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) content for auditing software configurations against the FDDC baseline, Secure Elements is offering a free trial of the C5 Compliance Platform to assist with the initial assessment of their current configurations, and to demonstrate the industries leading solution for continuous compliance monitoring and reporting for federal agencies.

The C5 Compliance Platform is built on open XML standards for technical control auditing and benchmarking using the NIST security checklists, vulnerability management, and FISMA reporting that include technical control mappings for SP 800-53.
