Primavera Systems Unveils Comprehensive Federal Enterprise Management Suite
(Aug 21, 2007)-- Primavera Systems announced its comprehensive Federal enterprise management suite focused on addressing the five dimensions of Federal management – portfolio, project, earned value, resource, and risk management. Focused on delivering the right solutions for Federal agencies wrestling to manage change, reporting, and oversight requirements, Primavera offers Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) capabilities that empower agencies to cross-pollinate best practices and achieve new levels of reporting transparency.
“EVM, FISMA, FEA, CPIC, OMB 300s – the Federal manager must comply with a daunting alphabet soup of mandates before they can manage to results,” said Joel M. Koppelman, CEO of Primavera. “It’s time for easy to use, complete management solutions. We need to crack the complexity code, deliver transparent government, and put the manager back in control.”
With recent ProSight and PertMaster acquisitions, combined with the release of P6, a significant upgrade to its flagship offering, Primavera has increased its software capabilities to provide Federal agencies with the solutions they need to achieve project success. Primavera’s total management approach delivers value in each dimension of management:
* Portfolio Management: Identify, select, and prioritize the right strategic initiatives. Primavera supports CPIC budgeting, Exhibit 300/53 submissions, and FISMA compliance management
* Project and Program Management: Plan and execute high-quality projects on time and on budget as well as identify and assign the right people to the right projects
* Earned Value Management: Measure accomplishments against plan and forecast time to complete programs
* Risk Management: Quantify, analyze and evaluate alternative ways to mitigate program risk
Primavera’s innovative management solutions continue to outpace the marketplace in both functionality and usability. Its management software enhances team collaboration to streamline management across diverse portfolios of projects and programs. Focused on delivering accurate information across an agency’s entire portfolio, Primavera also allows Federal managers to tailor features based on organizational roles to ensure that the everyday user can enter data directly into the system.
Promoting management oversight and visibility into project schedule and cost performance, Primavera provides team members with Web-based access to real-time snapshots of project performance and status to help managers deliver projects on-time, on-budget, and within scope. The software’s anytime, anywhere access grants executives the ability to access the information they need to make decisions and do their jobs effectively.
An enhanced user interface also allows Primavera management software to take its place alongside the browser, word processor, and spreadsheet on the mainstream desktop. The familiar Windows® drag-and-drop operation allows a new community of users to accelerate learning curves and realize the benefits of project management.
Gartner recently named Primavera in its report “Cool Vendors in Enterprise Architecture, 2007.” In addition, Gartner positioned Primavera in the Leaders’ Quadrant in its 2007 Gartner Magic Quadrant for IT Project and Portfolio Management.
