((Sept 23, 2007)-- Secure Elements, pioneer in standards-based IT audit and compliance management, announced a joint marketing agreement with Grant Thornton LLP that enables both firms to jointly market services and solutions for Information Assurance and compliance solutions to the Federal government. This announcement was made today at the Third Annual IT Security Automation Conference, where Secure Elements demonstrated their C5 Compliance technology on stage during Karen Evans' keynote address.
"Secure Elements' solutions for automated compliance auditing - especially for the FDCC - are an excellent complement to our service offering in IT compliance, risk management and security," commented Jim St. Clair, a Senior Manager in the Global Public Sector of Grant Thornton LLP. Under the agreement, Secure Elements and Grant Thornton will jointly market their auditing capabilities in the federal government space. The firms anticipate expanding the scope of the partnership beyond government to additional industry vertical markets as the need for automated compliance potentially grows in other regulated industries.
"As our business steadily grows the need for a partner with expertise in IT standards compliance and a global presence was required," said Ned Miller, CEO, Secure Elements. "With Grant Thornton's global footprint and excellent industry reputation, the partnership will enable our service delivery model to expand exponentially."
The C5 family of solutions is built on open XML standards (OVAL and XCCDF) for technical control auditing and benchmarking, vulnerability management, and FISMA reporting. Available in both enterprise (C5 Compliance Platform) and auditor (C5 Auditor Pro) versions, C5 automates the measurement and reporting of systems' compliance with regulatory security requirements including Federal Desktop Core Configuration (FDCC), FISMA, ISO 17799, HIPAA, SOX, and NERC/FERC.
