Arcot Systems to Exhibit at the Security, Risk and Compliance (SRC) Pavilion at Oracle OpenWorld 2007

(Nov 06, 2007)-- Arcot Systems, a member of the Oracle PartnerNetwork, lets enterprises upgrade from simple username/passwords to strong authentication without changing the login experience or critical business processes. At Oracle OpenWorld San Francisco, the company will demonstrate how its software-only solution, Arcot WebFort, seamlessly integrates with Oracle Access Manager, a component of Oracle Identity Management, to control network access, prevent online fraud, improve business processes and help meet regulatory requirements. Arcot will present its Oracle-based solutions at the event, held Nov. 11-15, 2007, in the Security and Risk Compliance (SRC) Pavilion booth 3830, Moscone Center West, San Francisco.

"Arcot adds two-factor, strong authentication to Oracle Access Manager, for business processes that require a higher level of authentication," said Keith Goldstein, vice president of Global Channel Development at Arcot Systems. "Since our solution is 100 percent software, it transparently fraud-proofs the login process without expensive hardware and rapidly scales to millions of users."

The core of the system is the ArcotID, a unique software-only identity credential that delivers the strength of PKI security with unprecedented simplicity for users, who maintain the familiar username/password login experience. Because it is software-only, the ArcotID eliminates the need for expensive hardware tokens or smart cards, while delivering protection against online threats like phishing, pharming and man-in-the-middle attacks -- the latter being beyond the security reach of One-Time-Password devices.
