The North Western Deanery of UK’s National Health Service Selects eIQnetworks’ SecureVue for Comprehensive IT Assurance
(Jan 29, 2008)-- eIQnetworks, provider of integrated security, risk and audit management solutions, announced that the North Western Deanery of the United Kingdom’s National Health Service (NHS) has selected its flagship SecureVue platform to proactively manage security, identify threats and support audit requirements, as well as aggregate disparate application and flow data more effectively across the entire organization.
The North Western Deanery, which manages post-graduate medicine and dentistry training throughout the northwest of England for the NHS, chose to deploy eIQ’s SecureVue solution because it presents a consolidated view of IT security, risk and compliance. The integrated platform enables North Western Deanery to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs and eliminate management complexity by expediting the identification and remediation of security, network and application issues.
“Protecting the information of thousands of UK doctors whilst maintaining a high level of service to our users is paramount to our IT staff,” said John Leigh, Head of Information Technology at the North Western Deanery. “SecureVue allows us to extend our existing resources to keep firm control of the whole network.”
By intelligently correlating log, vulnerability, configuration, asset, performance and network behavioral anomaly (NBA) data, SecureVue offers the North Western Deanery proficient network breach detection and extensive visibility into its enterprise. Executive and operational dashboards, correlation analysis, reporting, data archiving and forensic capabilities enable the organization to quickly respond to security threats while complying with industry audit requirements and best practices.
“By monitoring everything from laptops, servers, routers and firewalls to load balancers, IPS and more, SecureVue allows us to present the compliance of the whole network in seconds,” Leigh said. “Having this total view of the network allows us to trace the effects of security events from the root cause, giving us complete accountability.”
“Evolving best practices and regulations – particularly in the public sector – have left IT teams understaffed and struggling with a growing number of audit requirements,” said John Sullivan, Senior Vice President of Field Operations for eIQnetworks. “SecureVue enables organizations to use their resources more efficiently by instantly reporting on the entire network’s state of compliance.”
