SecureInfo Releases New Version of FISMA Compliant Comprehensive Risk Management System

(Feb 04, 2008)-- “SecureInfo RMS 5.0 represents a significant advancement in our product vision with an open and standard method for exchanging data with legacy and mandated FISMA applications.” said Roberto Garcia, Vice President of Product Operations for SecureInfo on the release of SecureInfo RMS 5.0

“In addition to this critical enhancement, we have upgraded our technology infrastructure to support new initiatives in the Federal government for compliance with standards such as IPv6. With this new solution SecureInfo continues to demonstrate its leadership as a best-in-class C&A solutions provider.” He added.

SecureInfo Corporation, provider of Information Assurance solutions for the Federal government, announced the immediate availability of SecureInfo RMS 5.0. SecureInfo RMS is a comprehensive risk management system that simplifies and automates the certification and accreditation (C&A) process, a critical element for meeting Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) compliance.

This new release of SecureInfo RMS provides organizations with comprehensive C&A process automation through the use of step-by-step customizable guides encapsulating the entire C&A process and controls. SecureInfo RMS addresses the C&A requirements within the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community and Civilian Agencies. Additionally, RMS supports the new Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) initiative published by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) by providing a framework to integrate a much broader set of technologies, including continuous monitoring solutions.

"SecureInfo RMS is a key component of NASA's information security program. It allows us to rapidly apply and enforce our information security policy across the entire NASA enterprise in a highly cost effective fashion. We welcome the new features introduced with RMS 5.0 and look forward to applying these new capabilities." said Jerry Davis, CISO for NASA.

RMS 5.0 introduces key features and benefits that enable Federal organizations to reduce C&A costs, standardize C&A programs and provide ready access to consistent, quality C&A packages for reporting and management. These features and benefits include

* Web Services for FISMA Reporting Integration - comprehensive reporting and management framework, allows integration with tools such as ASSERT, CSAM, EITDR, and eMASS.
* Customized, Step-by-Step C&A Guides – easy to use, step-by-step customizable C&A help guide allows organizations to facilitate self-learning and increase user adoption.
* MS Word Integration – allows RMS users the functionality and power of MS Word within the RMS interface. Users now have the ability to export the documents they are working on, complete them using MS Word and then import them back to RMS.
* IPv6 and Windows VISTA Compliant – RMS meets the Federal OMB mandated IPv6 compliance and is compatible with Windows VISTA
* Compliant with Current and Emerging Standards – as regulations and controls are continuously updated, RMS’ market leading Extensible Policy Framework insures the solutions supports all current and future C&A standards. RMS 5.0 now supports the new NIST 800-53A test formats and is ready to support the new standards to be implemented by the Intelligence Community and the Department of Defense as part of the C&A revitalization initiative.
