DRC Awarded $3.4M Contract with U.S. Coast Guard Office of Financial Transformation & Compliance Under EAGLE ID/IQ

(Sept 04,2008)-- Dynamics Research Corporation announced that it has been awarded a $3.43 million task order by the United States Coast Guard through the Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) Program. The contract, which is for one base year and three option years, is to assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in responding to Information Technology (IT) Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFR) from recent financial audits. DRC is the prime contractor, teaming with Total Systems Technology Corporation, and Kearney & Company for the company’s fifth task order under EAGLE.

"DRC is committed to providing high-end management support services to the Department of Homeland Security via the EAGLE contract, extending a long legacy of top-line analysis and enhancements to the policies, procedures, and processes that help keep the United States secure," said James P. Regan, DRC’s chairman and chief executive officer. "Under this task order, we will provide support to the Coast Guard in the analysis of their recent audit results and development of improvements to IT policies, procedures, and practices in order to ensure that the audit results are adequately addressed and compliance with DHS requirements is achieved."

In the first phase of this assignment, DRC will assist the ISSM in analyzing the aforementioned NFRs and developing effective Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) to remediate control weaknesses identified. Upon completion of the first phase, DRC will assist the ISSM in assessing the USCG IT systems, policies, procedures, and practices in place post-NFR remediation to ensure ongoing compliance with all Department of Homeland Security requirements, including Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-123, Appendix A.

DRC was selected for the EAGLE program in Function Category 5: Management Support Services, due to extensive management services expertise and proven performance supporting defense, national security and civilian government.
