Inter-Tel Partners With Revation Systems to Offer Secure Internet Customer Communication Capabilities

(March 07, 2007)--Inter-Tel, provider of voice and data communications solutions for businesses, has announced the availability of a suite of new communications applications that dramatically simplify the handling of customer communications over the Web. Secure chat, secure e-mail, FTP and Web presence services are available to Inter-Tel customers through a distribution agreement with Revation Systems of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

"Revation's product strengths in security and ease-of-use make them a logical and powerful addition to our suite of IP communication solutions,"said Jeffrey T. Ford, chief technology officer for Inter-Tel. "This partnership creates a powerful integration between Revation's LinkLive services and Inter-Tel's rich communications portfolio. This will be a compelling offering for our expanding base of customers in financial and health care services, delivering all the benefits of presence and collaboration within the strict security and compliance environment facing these institutions."

Through advanced Web presence integration with Inter-Tel 5000 and Axxess platforms, Revation's LinkLive secure electronic messaging services add live customer chat, e-mail and FTP capabilities to Inter-Tel's
blended media Contact Center Suite software. Utilizing industry-standard 128-bit SSL encryption and a secure data center environment, sensitive customer communications are protected and authenticity is assured.
Authentication features work in conjunction with e-commerce systems and Web portals to streamline the sharing and verification of information with a live agent to expedite identification and validation. LinkLive services include detailed tracking, reporting and storage capabilities that support customer service improvement initiatives and satisfy compliance standards required by GLB, SEC, FDIC, HIPAA, SOX and others.

"As more organizations move to enjoy the simplicity and efficiencies of personalized Internet-based customer communications, the need for security and fully-integrated electronic communications systems becomes paramount --especially in regulated industries," said Perry Price, CEO of Revation.
