Trinity Real Estate Solutions Offers TLS Encryption to Secure Draw Inspections Transmitted via E-mail

(May 02, 2007)-- Trinity Real Estate Solutions, a national construction lender services management company, announces the addition of Transcription Layered Security (TLS) to its offering of security tools. The TLS feature allows for the effective and secure communication of draw inspection results and subsequent email notes through client e-mail exchanges.

"E-mail security is of top concern when it comes to securing the privacy of draw inspection results through e-mail communications to and from lenders," said Brad Meyer, president of Trinity Real Estate Solutions. "It's essential these communications be encrypted in the same manner as our highly secure Web site access."

TLS is similar in its encryption methodology to Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), a protocol for transmitting private documents over the Internet and commonly used by the lending/banking industry for Web site encryption transmission.

TLS ensures 128-bit encryption privacy between communication applications via e-mail. Lenders can take advantage of TLS to secure electronic correspondence with very little investment and, best of all, no change (with no passwords to remember) to their current e-mail communication process. While implementation of TLS requires testing - typically on a lender's development and staging e-mail servers - the overall timeframe to implement TLS is usually less than four hours. TLS is functional with almost all current e-mail systems, such as Outlook, Lotus Notes or Group Wise.

"TLS helps us and our clients meet GLBA privacy guidelines without any substantial internal or client procedural changes," Meyer said. "It's a win-win for everyone, offering a secure yet painless functionality that many lenders are not currently aware exists."
