InBoxer Announces Special K-12 Educational Package For Email Archiving, Discovery, and Email Notification
(May 16, 2007)-- A special offer that dramatically reduces the cost of email archiving and electronic discovery for K-12 educational institutions was announced today by InBoxer, Inc. The new InBoxer Anti-Risk Virtual Appliance is available at a special introductory price of $4995 until June 15 for up to 5000 email users.
The InBoxer Anti-Risk Virtual Appliance archives every email message and attachment, including internal, external, inbound, and outbound messages. It prepares email for electronic discovery so that schools can meet their obligations under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure. InBoxer applies more than 70 tests to each message and finds potential violations of a broad range of compliance issues, including harassment, privacy violations, and email abuse. It can even send a real-time alert to a compliance official when a violation takes place.
K-12 schools know they need email archiving. But, they never budgeted for what many see as an unfunded mandate that came into effect in December. By reducing the price dramatically for the next 30 days, schools can fit the cost into this year's budget
"K-12 schools know they need email archiving. But, they never budgeted for what many see as an unfunded mandate that came into effect in December. By reducing the price dramatically for the next 30 days, schools can fit the cost into this year's budget," said Roger Matus, Chief Executive Officer of InBoxer, Inc.
Bob Cornacchioli, Director of Instructional Technology and Media Services for the Shrewsbury, Massachusetts Public Schools, says, "InBoxer provides excellent archiving and searching capabilities that a school system like ours needs. It also provides real-time email notification that helps us monitor the email system."
Schools will not only save money because of the significant InBoxer discount, they will also save by purchasing hardware using their deep educational discounts and group buying contracts. They can deploy the exact system they need to meet their storage requirements. For schools planning wide-spread virtualization, InBoxer helps to lower of the cost of capital (eliminates multiple hardware devices, rack space, etc.) and reduces the cost of operating the equipment (energy costs, support costs, etc.).
The InBoxer Anti-Risk Virtual Appliance requires the free VMWare Server or Microsoft Virtual PC software on a recent model Linux or Windows system. Email from Microsoft Exchange, IBM Lotus Notes / Domino, Kerio, and other email systems are automatically copied and stored in their original format. InBoxer never alters the original email message, as required by discovery rules. InBoxer applies more than 70 tests to each message and finds potential violations of a broad range of compliance issues, including Sarbanes-Oxley, hostile work environment (harassment), privacy, identity theft laws, HIPAA violations, and more
