HIPAA NewsSan Bernardino County Dept. of Human Services to deploy Digital RFID Asset File Tracking solution(Aug 21, 2007)--Lowry Computer Products, manufacturer and single-source integrator of radio frequency identification (RFID), wireless, bar code, and data collection solutions, announced that it has partnered with GlobeRanger, the leading provider of RFID Edge software, mobility, and sensor-based applications for both enterprise and government customers, to create a comprehensive, RFID- based asset tracking and management solution for the San Bernardino County Department of Human Services. Lowry will integrate GlobeRanger's iMotion Edgeware Platform into its Digital RFID Asset File Tracking (DRAFT) application. The San Bernardino County Department of Human Services will become the first organization to deploy DRAFT. Using DRAFT, the department will be able to label its entire library of case files and track the location of each file. San Bernardino County selected DRAFT to help streamline the on-boarding and off-boarding of case files and assist the Department of Human Services with HIPAA compliance. DRAFT, which includes RFID tag labeling and reading technologies, is complemented by GlobeRanger's iMotion Edgeware information collection, analysis and presentation capabilities. The iMotion platform provides the critical software infrastructure for automation at the edge.
