Enclarity Launches Healthcare Information Podcast Series

(Oct 04, 2007)-- Enclarity an information management and analytic software company focused on the healthcare market, today announced the launch of its podcast series, "Bringing Healthcare Information Into Focus." The purpose of the series is to delve into the issues surrounding provider data and offer real-world solutions to the $26 billion problem.

"The Enclarity culture is to adopt new ways to innovate and educate healthcare payers and organizations about the spectrum of industry issues," said Joel Portice, chief operating officer, Enclarity. "Podcasts are an increasingly popular media technology in which we can reach business decision-makers in a flexible, educational format."

The series kicks off with three podcasts:

1. Introduction to Enclarity -- As a company with a unique solution to the nation's daunting health information management crisis, Enclarity's Chief Executive Officer Sean Downs and Chief Operating Officer Joel
Portice provide insight into the company's history, evolution, product and services.
2. The Need for Better Provider Data -- Enclarity's founders examine the factors contributing to bad data, Enclarity's solutions and the resulting outcomes. The discussion includes the roles of payer, provider, patient and Health Information Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), National Provider Identifier (NPI) and NPI crosswalking information.
3. HIPAA -- Dr. Walter Suarez, president and chief executive officer of the Institute for HIPAA/Health Information Technology Education and Research, discusses the ramifications of HIPAA and NPI and talks about how to prepare for NPI. His background in medicine, public health and health information technology makes him an authoritative source for industry-relevant information.
