Decision Assist, New Reporting & Analytics Solution for Healthcare UNveiled by NGS

New Generation Software released Decision Assist – Healthcare, featuring ready-to-run patient, revenue, and clinical care reports and analysis for hospitals, clinics, and healthcare ISV's.The solution enhances DB2 data presentation via Adobe Flash and Microsoft Office. It includes an IBM System i data mart, Web portal, performance dashboards, multidimensional models, Excel spreadsheets, and reports. A Web demonstration of Decision Assist – Healthcare is scheduled for March 13, 2008.

Training is available for integrating this solution with System i-based hospital information systems applications. NGS also offers a fully-integrated version to Siemens Medical Solutions MedSeries4 users.
Reports that output to Excel spreadsheets, NGS-IQ’s OLAP module, PDF, HTML, etc. include Monthly Revenue by Financial Class, Insurance Carrier, Patient Type, and Charge Number; Outpatient Revenue and Visits; Charge Details by Patient; Patient Charges Exceeding Entered Amount; Top Charges by Service; Length of Stay; Patient Insurance Payments; Length of Stay by Insurance Carrier; Mortality Rate; and DRG by Group and Patient Days.

Healthcare providers with HIPAA, PCI, or other compliance concerns can license NGS’ IQ SeQure security management system to control users’ data access at the field and record level and to block specific users from functions such as FTP, e-mail, and downloading data to Windows. Third-party data encryption software may be integrated so customers can encrypt and decrypt data as needed.
