(Feb 19, 2008)--Courion Corporation, the provisioning experts for results-driven operations, announced the latest in an extensive list of US healthcare organizations that have selected the Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite solution to automate critical identity management and access compliance processes.
Alegent Health, Brookdale Senior Living, Girling Health Care, Kaleida Health, Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital and Pediatrix Medical Group, Inc. have joined other leading healthcare organizations such as Children’s Hospital Boston, Partners Healthcare and WellSpan Health in selecting the Enterprise Provisioning Suite for its ability to automate the manual tasks associated with identity management and ease of integration with key healthcare applications. Courion provides software connectors for more than 100 enterprise applications, databases and operating systems such as Cerner, Epic and McKesson, among others.
“When evaluating an identity and access management (IAM) solution, care delivery organizations should consider criteria such as account, role and identity management, off-the-shelf system connectors and the ability to integrate with other IAM components within the enterprise,” said Barry Runyon, research director, Healthcare Providers, Gartner. “A library of proven system connectors eases integration and dramatically increases the likelihood of a safe and successful implementation.”
Courion supports the software applications, databases and operating systems critical to healthcare providers through the company’s industry-specific software connectors that enable rapid integration with the Courion Enterprise Provisioning Suite. Courion provides an easy integration path to all of the leading healthcare applications including Cerner Millennium; Epic; MEDITECH; McKesson; GE Healthcare and PACS; GE IDX LastWord and Web Framework; Lawson/LAUA with AD and Unix; and more.
“Leading healthcare organizations understand that ensuring readily available access to key applications and data within policy is a critical component of improving patient care, while protecting patient privacy and improving compliance with regulations such as HIPAA,” said Kurt Johnson, vice president of corporate development, Courion. “Courion’s ability to integrate with critical healthcare applications supports our ability to drive results that impact security, compliance, operational efficiency and patient care.”
