Sugar Land, Texas. – March 7, 2008 – HIPAA Solutions, LC , a recognized leader in compliance resources for the Federal Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), is pleased to announce that it has teamed with Avnet Technology Solutions, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT) and a distributor focused on enterprise computer products and embedded subsystems. As part of this relationship, HIPAA Solutions, LC will participate in the Avnet’s independent software vendor (ISV) ecosystem for the healthcare technology market. Through the ecosystem, Avnet enables its North American partners to provide complete healthcare solutions, including leading healthcare industry software, hardware, and services.

 

HIPAA Solutions is a Texas-based HIPAA firm that is focused on providing quality resources to clients for HIPAA compliance activities. The resources include the areas of “job function specific” HIPAA training; risk assessments and audits; compliance products, tools and services; along with IT Planning, IT audits, product development and implementation services.

 

Many of these resources are provided in the HIPAA ComplyPAK©, a suite of software, tools and training resources which automate the legal and technical process of HIPAA compliance for the Privacy and Security regulations and can drastically reduce the costs of compliance.

 

Participating members in the Avnet ISV ecosystem will work in conjunction with experts from Avnet’s HealthPath™ practice to pursue solutions opportunities. Launched in March 2006, Avnet’s HealthPath practice provides in-depth pre- and post-sales support, comprehensive training and market-specific technology solutions.
