Titus Labs and Liquid Machines Integrate Solutions to Improve Data Security, Compliance for Government and Private Sector Customers
(July 08, 2008)-- Liquid Machines announced that Titus Labs, Inc.'s flagship Titus Labs Document Classification suite is fully integrated with the Liquid Machines Document Control solution. Liquid Machines will resell the Titus Labs Document Classification suite as part of their solution offering. Together, the joint solution helps large enterprise and public sector customers improve policy enforcement, meet compliance requirements and reduce the risk of data loss.
As part of the Secure Information Sharing Architecture (SISA) alliance, the fully integrated solution offers government agencies comprehensive technology architecture to protect and share confidential information. Together with Microsoft Rights Management Services (RMS), the Liquid Machines Document Control and Titus Labs Document Classification joint solution offers persistent data protection throughout the information lifecycle.
"Liquid Machines has seen a significant increase in enterprises interested in its information-centric data security solutions because they allow companies to create secure, yet collaborative environments," said Ed Gaudet, senior vice president, corporate development and marketing at Liquid Machines. "Utilizing Titus Labs' unique ability to easily classify sensitive files enhances Liquid Machines' ability to manage and control electronic communication throughout the data lifecycle. We are excited to resell Titus Labs as part of our overall solution offering."
Liquid Machines Document Control software allows users to persistently protect and control users' access to data and how they can interact with it regardless of its location and state -- at rest, in transit or in use. With the new integration, access and usage policies can be applied automatically to documents based on the author's assigned Titus Labs document classification label. All usage of secure documents is logged for auditing purposes, including unauthorized attempts to access, print, copy/paste or download confidential information to a thumb drive or iPod. The combined solution supports Microsoft Windows® Rights Management Services (RMS).
"Titus Labs' innovative Data Classification solutions enable customers to classify and protect information to reduce inadvertent data loss while maximizing competitive advantage and business growth," said Charlie Pulfer, vice president of product management and marketing at Titus Labs. "This partnership with a forward-thinking company like Liquid Machines allows us to provide solutions that better protect confidential information."
Titus Labs classification labels and associated policy enforcement are completely customizable and are defined by the administrators. These persistent, consistent labels are applied by the author of the document at the point of creation. Titus Labs classification labels include metadata that can be read by content inspection tools and trigger specific actions such as blocking, quarantining or archiving. Titus Labs Document Classification can be used to force users to classify every Word, PPT and Excel document and automatically trigger Liquid Machines policies and Microsoft RMS templates.
"This announcement further showcases a great partnership between two of our key partners, Titus Labs and Liquid Machines, to provide information protection solutions to the latest applications and file formats," said Tejas Dixit, group manager, platform marketing at Microsoft Corp. "As the market now looks to add context to confidential information, the solution will provide leading companies with transparency and effectiveness of their information protection strategies."
Titus Labs solutions help enterprises adhere to information security regulations such as Sarbanes-Oxley, NASD 2711, HIPAA, CUI and others. For more information on the company visit us at www.titus-labs.com.
