Next-Generation Integration Capabilities From Archer Technologies Provide a Holistic View of Enterprise Data to Support Governance, Risk and Compliance Initiatives

(July 21, 2008)-- Archer Technologies (Archer), a provider of enterprise governance, risk and compliance solutions, today announced the release of its Data Feed Manager, which provides a new way for companies to perform rapid integrations between industry-leading products and the Archer SmartSuite Framework. Designed for use by technical business analysts, the Data Feed Manager allows Archer clients and partners to use the Archer Framework as a point of consolidation, bringing together data from any source for correlation, analysis, process management and reporting.

"A vital component of any governance, risk and compliance program is the ability to form an aggregate view of risks, vulnerabilities, metrics and operational data within the enterprise," says Jon Darbyshire, president and CEO of Archer Technologies. "With the Data Feed Manager, Archer is putting power in the hands of technical business users to rapidly integrate enterprise data systems with the Archer SmartSuite Framework. This is a new market concept that we developed in collaboration with our customers, and we believe it will shape the future development of new integration products."

Putting Power in the Hands of Business Users
With an API, integration projects typically involve a team of developers and weeks of effort. In contrast, the Data Feed Manager allows a single business user to configure multiple, dynamic data feeds within a day. The point-and-click, drag-and-drop interface of the Data Feed Manager walks users through this simple four-step process:

1. Connect with the external data source.
2. Filter and modify the external data so only desired information
is imported.
3. Map the external data to Archer applications.
4. Schedule the data feed so it will run automatically.

Business users can also easily modify data integrations over time through the same graphical interface.
"Across our global organization, we need to understand and act on increasingly complex data collected by multiple point solutions," says Jay Leek, Manager of Corporate IT Security Services for a multinational mobile device manufacturer. "The Archer team listened to our requirements and worked with us to develop a solution that gives us a flexible framework for taking in data from any source. As a result, we can provide users with information that is relevant to their job function, and we can reuse data to support a range of business processes across our organization."

Before beginning a new integration project, clients can browse for pre-built integration packages on the Archer Exchange, an online marketplace dedicated to supporting enterprise governance, risk and compliance (GRC) initiatives. Leading providers of asset management systems, performance management solutions, vulnerability scanning tools and other GRC products are using the Data Feed Manager to integrate with the Archer SmartSuite Framework. Hundreds of these pre-built integration packages will be available on the Archer Exchange for download and rapid deployment.

"In a recent engagement with a global shipping company, the Archer Data Feed Manager enabled us to quickly build feeds for importing and transforming new and legacy data from disparate sources, all in an organized and easily scheduled manner. We leveraged the data feed capabilities to aggregate incident reporting as well as facility, shipping, and personnel data within the Archer SmartSuite Framework," says Meka Egwuekwe, Senior Architect for Lokion, a leading business services company. "The speed with which we were able to deliver the right solution to our client was tremendous. We feel the Data Feed Manager marks a new standard for user-friendly, seamless data integration and truly sets Archer apart from the competition."
