Crossbeam Systems Certifies Imperva SecureSphere on its Next Generation Security Platform

(Aug 12, 2008)-- Crossbeam Systems, provider of next-generation security platforms for high-performance networks, today announced that it has certified Imperva's SecureSphere 6.0 to run on the X-Series Next Generation Security Platform through the iBeam ISV Certification Program. Deployed on the Crossbeam chassis, SecureSphere's market-leading application data security solution will help enterprises and carriers protect their Web applications and databases from attack, as well as enable companies to comply with a wide variety of regulatory initiatives.

Crossbeam's iBeam ISV Certification Program is the industry's first testing environment that recreates the layered, core security architectures of large enterprise and service provider networks. iBeam assures Crossbeam customers that the best-of-breed security applications they want to use have been thoroughly tested and proven to work together in complex, multi-vendor network environments.

SecureSphere 6.0 is a multi award-winning solution that delivers activity monitoring, audit and security for business applications and databases. SecureSphere offers proven, automated capabilities for achieving, maintaining and documenting regulatory compliance, which is critical in maximizing company resources and bolstering productivity. SecureSphere provides full visibility into data usage by the end-user, through the application and into the database to protect against all forms of attack, misuse and abuse.

Organizations running Imperva SecureSphere will also be able to meet the evolving Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS), as well as maintain compliance with an assortment of other regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (GLBA), and the European Data Privacy Directive.

"The iBeam test bed is a proving ground that accurately depicts the rigors security applications must face in high-uptime environments," said Jim Freeze, chief marketing officer for Crossbeam. "The world's leading enterprises and carriers depend upon the optimized performance, scalability and high availability of Crossbeam's next-gen security platform. The iBeam certification process assures customers that the best-of-breed security applications they choose to use within our platform have been proven to work together at the carrier-grade performance-levels they require."

The Crossbeam X-Series is the industry's only open and extensible platform, purpose-built for security, upon which best-in-class applications can be integrated and exchanged as needed to respond to new and evolving threats. The X-Series is the highest-performing platform, tested to wire-line rates of 40 Gbps with ultra-low latency, enabling customers to enjoy the benefits of deploying multiple best-of-breed security applications within their large network environments, without sacrificing performance. Carriers use the X-Series to deliver a new generation of virtualized services such as firewall, VPN and intrusion prevention, while enterprises deploy the X-Series for consolidation of security equipment and faster response to the demands of the real-time enterprise.
