Healthcare Industry Contract to Pilot HIPAA Compliance Solution in $1.6 Billion Market is Secured by NuMobile, Inc.

 (July 29, 2009) - NuMobile, Inc. announced having secured a new agreement with a healthcare software company to pilot a network security monitoring system to support healthcare related security requirements. HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, requires that all healthcare organizations apply certain practices to protect patient information and patient privacy. The goal of the pilot project is to provide a cost effective and comprehensive security management system that can be offered to both existing and new healthcare technology clients. The healthcare security industry reported revenues of $1.66 billion in 2007 and revenues are expected to reach $5.78 billion in 2014. HIPAA compliance is one of the driving forces behind the healthcare security industry's strong growth.

NuMobile recently announced the completion of an initial analysis of a National Guard information system for DIACAP security vulnerability assessment and information assurance accreditation. An inventory of vulnerability mitigation controls has been delivered to the client to support the system's information assurance accreditation. DIACAP is a standardized methodology for evaluating the security posture of Department of Defense (DoD) Information Systems for certification and accreditation (C&A). It is DoD policy that the Department of Defense will certify information systems through an enterprise process for identifying, implementing and managing Information Assurance (IA) capabilities and services.
