HIPAA NewsURAC's HIPAA Privacy Accreditation Awarded one more time to Health Net Federal Services(August 17, 2009) - Health Net Federal Services, LLC, the government operations division of Health Net, Inc. announced it has been awarded HIPAA Privacy re-accreditation from URAC, a Washington, D.C.-based health care accrediting organization that establishes quality standards for the industry. Health Net Federal Services first received URAC's HIPAA Privacy accreditation in 2007. “Health Net Federal Services remains vigilant in our commitment to protect the privacy of our beneficiaries and their personal information,” said Steven D. Tough, president, Health Net Federal Services. “This HIPAA Privacy re-accreditation by the URAC organization is a strong testament to our continued commitment and dedication to serving the military community. We are honored that our HIPAA Privacy Program has been recognized.” In addition, Health Net Federal Services has current URAC accreditations that include: Health Network, Case Management and Health Utilization Management. “By choosing to seek URAC HIPAA Privacy Accreditation, Health Net Federal Services has displayed leadership through a commitment to quality and accountability,” said Alan P.
