Jance Releases Updated CIO Productivity Kit

(Sept 17, 2007)-- The CIO Productivity Kit has just been updated by Janco and is now being shipped. The kit includes the most popular templates and tools that Janco has developed. Victor Janulaitis, the CEO of Janco Associates, said "Over the last year almost 40% of our sales have come from the International Market as enterprises outside of the United States try to catch up in the application of best practices." He added, "... all of Janco's products have recently been updated to be compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley, HIPAA, ISO 17799, ITIL (version 3), PCI-DSS and recent privacy legislation.

The kit is a set of documents in Word (2003 and 2007 format) documents that the user can easily adapt to their own unique environment. The license for the kit is for a single enterprise within a single country.

The kit contains 1) The Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity Template; 2) Security Manual Template; 3) IT Service Management Template; 4) Sensitive Information Policy; 5) Internet and IT Position Description HandiGuide with 204 Job Descriptions; 6) Threat and Vulnerability Assessment Tool; 7) Business and IT Impact Questionnaire; 8) IT Salary Survey (June 2007); and 9) Drive Space Monitor Desktop License. The kit is delivered electronically using Janco's propriety electronic distribution system.

An update service is also available for all of the components of the kit. Janco updates all of it products at least annually and in the case of it more popular products, like the Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity and Security Manual Template, once a quarter.

Janulaitis said, "There are a core set of tools that are required by enterprises of all sizes to improve the service levels associated with the delivery of IT services while continuing to maintain good cost controls. Consulting and outsourcing firms that provide services on a contracting basis especially need these tools."
