WorkFlow Launches New Technology Addressing New OSHA Laws

(Aug 16, 2007)-- WorkFlow launched a new technology addressing new OSHA laws that protect welders from exposure to poisonous gases. These noxious gases include zinc, cadmium, mercury, and lead, just to name a few. Additionally major concerns have arisen around the exposure of employees to excessively hot work environments. In fact the problem is so prolific that states such as California have adopted new regulations that specifically protect employees from heat-related injury and death.

This technology is a highly stylized fan that clips onto the top of a welding mask. Once installed the user depresses an oversized button on top of the unit to begin the flow of air. The air is drawn from the back of the welder's head, and circulates low-humidity, cool ambient air into the hot, humid welding mask. This is also consistent with a trend of employers seeking to improve the quality of work-life of hard-to-replace employees. Additionally some studies suggest that comfort is an important ingredient towards driving employee productivity and yield.

The product was developed by product design and development firm Lassen Scientific, Inc. - http://www.wesellsuccess.com. According to the marketing firm that will be launching the company, Nicholas Webb Consulting, "We will likely launch the product through a national network of welding dealers. We also anticipate that the product will be sold at most national retailers by late fall 2008." The target suggested retail is $39.95. The formal launch will be at two national trade shows: the National Safety Council and the American Welding Association. Both meetings will be this fall 2007 in Chicago, IL. The CEO of WorkFlow Industrial Products anticipates sales of over 5 million dollars in 2008 alone. Other products offered by WorkFlow Industrial Products, LLC include their hardhat cooling system that launched successfully in the summer of 2007.
