OSHA NewsA Chemical Manufacturer in West Virginia Fined by OSHA( March 17, 2009)-- A chemical manufacturer in West Virginia faces fine of $44,000 for alleged workplace safety violations. The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration cited ICL Supresta Inc. for seven serious violations and one repeat violation following two chemical releases at its Gallipolis Ferry plant on Jan. 7. Failure to conduct adequate equipment inspections and use of respiratory protection gear is included in those citations.
