SOX NewsWatson SCS' SMB Solution Recognized As Beacon Award FinalistThe Identity Management On Demand service leverages IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Express software, including features such as: password synchronization, self service password management and reset for end users, centralized user ID and password administration, password policy enforcement, approval workflows, and audit reporting that shows who has access to what, and who approved that access. As a result, IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Express helps mitigate the risk of invalid accounts and privileges, and promotes cleanup of existing data. Automating these processes can help companies maintain an ongoing record of access-rights changes. ITIM Express with the Identity Management On Demand service meets many of the requirements of complex regulations, like Kyle Watson, chief architect of the Identity Management On Demand solution and president of Watson SCS, said, "Recognition as a Beacon Award finalist by IBM is an honor that few IBM Business Partners enjoy, and we are thrilled to be one of only three finalists. Through IBM's continued support, including the Beacon recognition, Watson SCS' visibility has increased in both the IT and SMB communities. When designing Identity Management On Demand, Watson SCS interviewed many small to medium sized businesses to discover what major information security challenges they face. Thanks to the assistance of these companies, we were able to design a solution around the day-to-day IT problems of the SMB, including password reset and synchronization services and compliance with 'adequate controls' requirements such as those defined by PCI, HIPPA and SOX." Identity Management On Demand is a service built around IBM's Tivoli Identity Manager Express. IBM Tivoli Identity Manager Express connects to various systems through adapters, and through these adapters provisions and maintains user accounts in those systems. The software, which is sold separately from the Identity Management On Demand solution, contains many out-of-the-box adapters, including, but not limited to: IBM AIX V5.1; Cisco Access Control Server (ACS) 3.2 and 3.3; Entrust PKI 6 and 7; LDAP Directories; Novell eDirectory; and Microsoft Windows Active Directory 2000 and 2003. Custom adapters can be developed to integrate systems that are not supported by the out-of-the-box adapters.
