Aveksa Extends Access Governance Leadership through New Sales and Marketing Initiatives
(Aug 20, 2007)-- Aveksa, provider of enterprise access governance solutions, announced significant expansion of its sales and marketing efforts. Building on the momentum created by the recent release of the Aveksa 3 Enterprise Access Governance Suite, Aveksa has increased its customer base, added new partners, expanded its executive team with industry veterans, launched new marketing initiatives and forged strong partnerships with a rapidly growing number of leading systems integrators and consulting organizations.
In June, Aveksa unveiled Aveksa 3, which includes the new Aveksa Role Manager, a role discovery, modeling and lifecycle management solution; and the third generation of its flagship Aveksa Compliance Manager product, a policy-based solution for automated monitoring, review and remediation of user access privileges and compliance automation. The combined capabilities of these two products make Aveksa 3 the industry’s first comprehensive solution for identity and access governance, risk and compliance.
“The effective management of user access rights to enterprise information assets plays a critical role in regulatory compliance and IT risk management. Leading companies are waking up to the benefits of managing them effectively,” said Deepak Taneja, CEO, Aveksa. “By helping organizations to dramatically simplify and automate their previously manual access governance processes, Aveksa has enjoyed strong adoption of our solution. We will continue building on this success through the aggressive expansion of our sales and marketing initiatives.”
Customer Wins Demonstrate Growing Demand for Enterprise Access Governance
Industry-wide demand for Aveksa’s technology has resulted in significant recent customer wins for the company. Leading organizations that have recently turned to Aveksa to automate their enterprise access governance processes include:

Using Aveksa 3, the company will have a significantly higher level of visibility into the state of user access rights for risk-relevant applications and dramatically simplified reporting for continuous compliance.
* XL Capital, a global insurance, reinsurance and financial risk specialist, will rely on Aveksa to obtain visibility into entitlements and roles, and to deploy an automated end-to-end reporting, certification and remediation process for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Aveksa combines all of these capabilities, providing XL Capital the ability to serve key business constituents, automate controls assurance and ensure that risk and compliance management is integrated into the IT fabric.
* Amscan, the largest designer, manufacturer and distributor of decorated party goods and party accessories in the world, is utilizing Aveksa services to automate and simplify its identity-driven compliance and risk management initiatives across its entire enterprise. Aveksa automates access rights monitoring and compliance reporting across Amscan’s identity and security infrastructure, compliance-relevant business and financial applications, payroll system and legacy financial and ERP applications.
