CyberTrails Successfully Completes SAS 70 Type II Audit

(Dec 03, 2007)-- CyberTrails that it has successfully completed an American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) Statement on Auditing Standards No. 70 (SAS 70) Type II examination. The report underscores CyberTrails' adherence to rigorous, industry-accepted auditing standards for service companies.

According to CyberTrails' Chief Operating Officer Rick Crutchley, "This report validates that our environmental safeguards, operational processes and controls meet high standards for the security and reliability of the systems we manage on behalf of clients. By leveraging the controls we have in place, our clients are not required to implement the same level of controls and procedures within their own IT infrastructures."

Changes in the regulatory environment in recent years, including those brought about by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, require companies to implement controls that ensure the reliability of their data. SAS 70 Type II examinations can help confirm that access to information is internally regulated and limited by physical controls and safeguards.

The examination, conducted by an independent auditor, Lattimore Black Morgan & Cain, PC, includes design assessments and operating effectiveness tests of CyberTrails' policies and procedures, system availability, environmental controls, physical security, logical security, problem / incident management and infrastructure change management.
