FDA failure

www.contracostatimes.com

For almost four months the FDA, the agency responsible for protecting our food sources, couldn't figure out why people were getting sick from salmonella. "Tomatoes," they said. "We don't know what tomatoes, or where they're from, but it's tomatoes!" So we stopped eating tomatoes. But people still got sick, and people at the FDA were scratching their heads, doing their best FEMA impersonation. Finally, after three months, they started checking other veggies and found the source! Peppers! I thought that after the spinach problem last year the FDA was supposed to implement new tracking procedures so that it couldn't happen again.
