FDA approves Neuronetics’ magnetic stimulation treatment for depression

Neuronetics Inc. received Food and Drug Administration approval Wednesday for its depression treatment that uses transcranial magnetic stimulation therapy. Transcranial magnetic stimulation, or TMS, is a non-invasive treatment that uses highly focused, MRI-strength magnetic pulses to stimulate nerve cells in the brain.
