CIOs Wield Web Use Policies

Most chief information officers (CIOs) use content-filtering and -blocking software or have acceptable Web browsing policies, or both, according to a Robert Half Technology survey.Three-fourths of CIOs at companies with 100 or more employees say that the software and policies are designed to keep employees from accessing inappropriate content at work. Over 70% also say that the software and policies are used to limit viruses, malware and other technical problems.
