Meeting the Needs of the Mobile Workforce without Additional IT Headaches

www.wwpi.com

In many corporations today, mobile access is no longer a luxury for the CEO but rather a must for the majority of employees. More and more employees are becoming part of the mobile workforce and working remotely. Many of these remote employees now rely heavily on mobile access methods such as hand-held devices, Web-browser-based clients, and other remote access methods. And these users need to be connected to the company’s server at all costs.

This trend is creating a headache for enterprise IT departments, forcing them to make drastic changes in their network and server infrastructures. IT departments must find a way to host all these different access methods and applications on a single mailbox server. Mobile access also requires IT departments to manage and monitor additional applications installed by users on their individual handhelds as well as to provide mobile users with efficient access to the company’s network and its internal documents.
