Columbus records agency picks Streamline

www.bizjournals.com

The Columbus Public Health Vital Statistics Office will implement Cincinnati-based Streamline Health Solutions Inc.'s software and remote hosting services. The office will use Streamline Health's document management and workflow products for storing and retrieving birth, death and other vital documents and to improve response time to customers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The office serves Franklin County, with a population of nearly 1.1 million. Currently, it maintains its birth and death records on microfilm rolls dating to 1908 and uses an offsite storage facility for other forms that must be kept according to the city of Columbus retention schedule. Lifetime records are fragmented across various microfilm rolls, making them difficult to locate.
