JCJC to hold OSHA training

Jones County Junior College’s Workforce Development Center is offering a 30-hour OSHA General Industry Standards program. The course will be taught by Ben Rosenkrans, an authorized OSHA Outreach Trainer from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. June 17-19. The OSHA training will be taught at the JCJC Advanced Technology Center in the Howard Technology Park. The cost of the program is $225 per person.

Emphasis will be placed on understanding and applying OSHA standards, workplace hazard identification, avoidance, control, and prevention of unsafe acts or situations. Practical information to effectively manage the workplace safety and health program will also be discussed.

Each trainee will receive training handouts, 29 CFR 1910 OSHA General Industry Standards, and a 30-Hour card to document completion of the class. Pre-registration and payment are required by June 11.
