OSHA checking death of worker at Desoto Civic Center

Officials are looking into the weekend death of a worker who fell from scaffolding to the concrete floor at the DeSoto Civic Center.
Kevin Sinex, 45, of Windemere, Fla., died in the Sunday night accident, which followed a professional wrestling event. Desoto County Coroner Jeffery Pounders says Sinex apparently was standing on some kind of beam when the beam collapsed. He said the worker fell 25 to 30 feet and struck his head. Michael Wald of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in Atlanta said the agency is investigating.
