OSHA, S. Idaho dairy agree to reduced fine

www.theolympian.com

A southern Idaho dairy will pay a reduced $1,700 federal fine for safety violations after a trucker was crushed on March 7. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration had levied a $2,500 fine against the owners of 4-Bros Dairy in Shoshone. The agency determined that 30-year-old Chad Charles Thompson died after the 4-Bros Dairy near Shoshone allowed a 40-to-50 foot pile of silage to stack vertically, then fall, creating an imminent danger.
