Proper documentation protects against whistleblower lawsuits

Whistle-blower administrative complaints and lawsuits by current and former employees against employers are all the rage at present.

Such complaints and lawsuits are common, and many of them make headlines. No employer wants to be part of such a complaint or lawsuit (or any lawsuit, for that matter). But how can an employer best defend against such a complaint or lawsuit?

The best way is by documenting interactions with employees. Well, I guess a caveat to that sentence should be by properly documenting interactions with employees.
