OSHA continues elevator probe

The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration continued its investigation Friday into an elevator accident at Optical Polymers International that sent five people to the hospital Thursday morning.
The most seriously injured employee was a 29-year-old man, who company officials refused to identify. He was apparently pinned in the elevator shaft by a 1,000-pound cargo elevator.

"No comment," was the response of Jim Edwards, president of Optical Polymers, a business that supplies a glass substitute for optical lenses, when asked about the workplace accident at the company facility at 110 West Main St.The man's condition could not be determined Friday
