OSHA fines NY auto plant for safety violations

An upstate New York auto parts factory is facing more than $145,000 in fines from federal regulators. U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration inspectors are citing New Process Gear for 65 violations of workplace safety standards. OSHA says it targeted the suburban Syracuse plant because of its higher than average injury and illness rates.
