Linden ConocoPhillips refinery fined by OSHA for unsafe work conditions

The ConocoPhillips Bayway Refinery in Linden was cited by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration last week for unsafe working conditions, including several repeated violations. The violations could have potentially led to an explosion resulting in serious injury or death for employees at the refinery, said Patricia Jones, area director of OSHA’s Avenel office in Woodbridge.
